2 e-mail addresses

Hi,

Recently I have had quite a few guests not getting my replies to their e-mails, or a confirmation of their reservation. Most guests assume that I did not get the original message, but that is never the case. My website forms submit the contact message or reservation request to 2 different e-mail addresses, and I always get at least one of them.

This is also why the website forms have a place where you can enter a second e-mail address. If entered this gives you a better chance of getting my reply, or a confirmation of your reservation request.

The primary reasons guests do not get a reply are either a error in the e-mail address (mail is returned to me with 'no such address'), or my e-mail address hasn't been 'white listed' by those using a Spam filter or whatever, and my e-mail then gets 'black listed' and placed in a rarely visited Spam/Junk folder to be eventually automatically deleted. :-( Also on a few rare occasions e-mails just get lost...

Another concern is 'e-mail hijacking', where someone is simply faking my e-mail addresses to send Spam and/or Virus e-mails. :-( Unfortunately, there is no technical way to stop e-mail hijacking. So, please be careful and don’t blindly trust my address when you see it in your e-mail program. I never send e-mails with attachments, and/or e-mails that are not related to taking a vacation here at the resort!!

I am also no longer using the wigglebuttwags@xxxxxxxx e-mail address. It is always best to contact me using the website contact form (even when replying)!

Best regards,

Pete and Guests
